Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement leader Shehla Rashid revealed in one of her tweets that the Indian army tortured and interrogated four men at a camp and kept a mic close to them to make others listen to their screams.
”In Shopian, 4 men were called into the Army camp and “interrogated” (tortured). A mic was kept close to them so that the entire area could hear them scream, and be terrorised. This created an environment of fear in the entire area,” Shehla tweeted.

Shehla Rashid has been tweeting about the situation in Kashmir as the lock-down imposed by the BJP led central government is on since August 5. This was the tenth tweet in that series.
In the ninth tweet, Shehla said that the army was entering houses at night, picking up boys and ransacking things. ”Armed forces are entering houses at night, picking up boys, ransacking houses, deliberately spilling rations on the floor, mixing oil with rice, etc.”

Since the government imposed the lock-down prior to revoking Article 370 and 35 A that had ensured special status for Kashmir, the entire region has been heavily blanketed. Many shocking things are coming out through various sources since the media is also facing strict regulations. BBC has published a video of thousands protesting against the centre’s decision to revoke Article 370 and 35 A.
