Sedition charged on Kerala Students for poster condemning Sanghparivar attack on Kashmiris
Malappuram: Sedition charged on students in Malappuram Government college for pasting posters condemning the attacks on Kashmiris by Sangh Parivar. Two students are in police station custody and their statements are recorded. There are unconfirmed reports that 124(A) is charged on total seven students. The action is taken based on the complaint filed by the college principal. The complaint says there are anti-India elements in the posters posted by RSF, says Premjith, a police official at Malappuram Police station.
But Keyboard Journal couldn’t connect with the principal till now. The students of Radical Students Forum had posted a poster which says “condemn the Sanghparivar attacks on Kashmiris” and other posters addressing the question of Kashmir. One of the students who are detained currently in Malappuram Police station was picked up from home early in the morning without an arrest warrant, a relative said.
Initially the police was reluctant to share information about the arrest. But later they informed that these students are in custody and are charged with 124(A). The students will be produced at the court today morning.
